Our website offers resources and support to Christian Faculty, campus ministers, and student leaders who share our vision.

The team at God & Reason is dedicated to providing a welcoming space for students to explore their spiritual questions, and I am honored to work alongside them.

In a historically secular space. God and Reason present reasonable arguments for theism based in good scholarship, presented by professors who are leaders in their secular fields of study. It is a place for skeptics, seekers and faithful students to explore, challenge and contemplate in a safe pro-reason environment the big questions of faith.

Our History
Sept 2011
Beginnings
In 2011, Dr. Douglas Allen and Dr. Alexender Moens asked Gary Stevenson the same question, "How can I share the gospel at Simon Fraser University without getting fired?"
Dr. Martin Ester and Dr. Michael Monagan also expressed interest shortly after.
2014
Became God & Reason
Through partnering with Christian students we established our own Christian club on campus called the SFU Christian leadership initiative. We hosted God & Reason and a number of other special lectures.
2023
Website Creation
For years, the professors discussed creating a website to equip professors to start God & Reason on their own campus. This website, godandreason.com, is the result.
