A Typical Plan for One Semester
Eight Lectures
30-min talk, 20-min Q&A
We typically offer eight God and Reason lectures per semester. Each lecture consists of a 30 minute presentation by one of the professors and 20 minutes of Q&A.
Food or Snacks Afterwards
Cultivate Offline Conversations
We usually reserve the lecture room for 2 hours, serve some food or at least snacks after the Q&A, and invite participants to stay for offline conversations. The presentations lay the foundation for the discussion. We encourage constructive, critical questions.
Relationship Building
Going Deeper
The offline conversations provide an opportunity to ask more personal questions and to build relationships, both between the professors and the participants and between participants.

How to Promote
Student Club
Typically, God & Reason will find student leaders to start a university student club (in order to book rooms + apply for grants for food). This also enables student leaders to promote the lectures series at the university's club day (or similar event).
Business Cards
God & Reason will typically have business cards with contact information on the front and the lecture schedule (with the professor speaking) on the back.
We hand out business cards to people we invite in person. Additionally, we place business cards in paper pockets on the sandwich boards so students can grab one while on the go (see "Sample Poster" above).
